Why I chose the acronym "BuTTA:"

It seems to be the "word" that works best when I find my self having to play that "extra" round of golf that was not budgeted in my "overall time spent with the family."

You see, although  I LOVE to play golf, I also love spending time with my family.  When I play golf I find myself being away from my wife and son from 5 hours minimum (if I'm playing at El Prado or Los Serranos) to upwards of 8+ hours if I'm playing 1/2 hour drive away and decide to "play the 19th hole" with my buddies, so that we can settle our skins, Nassau, etc...  That's the paradox of golfing for me.

This is how use the word BuTTA to justify "having to play" a given round of golf:

- Honey, I'm playing (insert date, time here) at (insert golf course here)
- Didn't you just play last (insert "week/month/year" according to your government threshold) ???
- Yes, "butta"  I got invited by (insert friend's name she likes here)!   And you know he doesn't get to golf very often because (insert reason she would like to hear, like: his wife is a B****, he can't afford it, etc...)   He was practically begging me to play, so I thought I'd do him a favor.

Sometimes this costs a dinner or having to watch a "chick flick," but hey, you have to "take your bogeys along with your birdies."
